HIKING

Hiking the Jemez Mountains can be quite an adventure, but it can also be a tedious ordeal if you are not familiar with trailhead locations, trail routes, and features to see.

JA's Short Hikes in the Jemez map-pack was developed to assist hikers in enjoying the Jemez without unnecessary pitfalls and mistakes.  The goal is a safe journey to the trailhead followed by an enjoyable short hike. Road conditions, 2WD vs. 4WD, and safety issues are detailed.

Trail data such as round trip length, level of difficulty, trail map, elevation change are useful for experienced &    beginner hikers alike.  Trail notes include road conditions, parking, open/close dates, & things to do & see.
